BI Developer

We at Global Marketing Services (GMS) are part of the Business Process Services team and are committed to help Siemens departments globally to succeed in today’s dynamic environment.

We are looking for a full-time employee for Business Intelligence projects in Prague. You will lead (sub ) projects and support our internal customers from the project start to the successful implementation until the maintenance phase.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Design, develop and maintain individual business intelligence solutions
  • Modify and create high quality code using SQL, SSIS and JavaScript
  • Modify and create interactive dashboards and reports using DundasBI, Highcharts and other tools
  • Troubleshoot, optimize and tune ETL processes
  • Close cooperation with Siemens Germany
  • Complex problems involving various audiences. Positively interact with all internal customers

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • Business fluent command of English required, German language skills would be an additional benefit
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, IT, Business Informatics, Computer Science or similar focus required
  • 0-2+ years of work experience in IT
  • You love problem solving, writing code, and learning new technologies
  • Experience using SQL and relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL, MemSQL)
  • Experience using ETL Tools (SSIS preferred)
  • Experience creating charts, graphs, dashboards in one or more of the following programs - SSRS, Power BI, Tableau, Crystal Reports, Qlik, DundasBI
  • Experience with JSON and libraries like Spring, Angular, and jQuery is a plus
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) such as S3, EC2, RDS, and Lambda is a plus
  • Experience using JIRA & Confluence is a plus
  • Solid understanding of business process analysis, design and optimization
  • Results driven and excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all stakeholders (team player)
  • Professional demeanor, ability to interact and present to upper management
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work effectively to meet project deadlines
  • Willingness to travel less than 10%
